The Stranded Motorist Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that exists to help people who cannot afford to fix their car. Please be aware that this is a process, and that applying does not guarantee that you will be qualified for the program. And qualification for the program does not guarantee that we will be able to repair your vehicle. Also, please be aware that we are not a vehicle donation program; and that us having a reliable, safe car to donate to someone is rare and depends heavily on others donating these cars to us. We are inundated with applications every day and we do the best we can to move them through our process and help everyone we can, but please know that we cannot guarantee help. Much of this depends on the status of your application, the age and condition of your vehicle, the quantity and quality of other applications, and our access to funds. We do not perform body work or provide direct financial assistance.
